I have hit rock bottom and I am finally ready to admit it. For years I have believed the hype about the “paperless society“, fully expecting that the flood of papers that create pure chaos in our house would soon go away, as paper went the way of the rotary phone. As the calendar flipped to 2013 and I found myself drowning in mail, business receipts, medical records, children’s artwork, legal docs, lists, lists of my lists….it became clear this paperless society thing is a hoax. It is time to admit it, paper will be a part of my life for the foreseeable future and if I want to get organized, I need to tame the paper beast!
Can The Brother P-Touch D200 Help Save Me From Utter Chaos
Let me start with an open apology…
Have you sent me or my family a letter that required our response? If so, you have now realized that we never replied. Please accept my sincere apologies for this lack of response. I am sure we would have loved to attend your [insert one] party/wedding/funeral/forclosure meeting/intervention. Unfortunately we have had a flood of papers and the wet-vac we rented did little to help the situation. Thank you again for the invite/card/collection notice/legal papers and we look forward to seeing you in 2013 at the next big event
Clearly we need to get organized in 2013 and I have been told the key to organization is to put everything in its place. No piles of mail sitting on the kitchen counter, no unmarked boxes stuffed full with the children’s art projects. Everything needs to be labeled and put in marked boxes or folders. To help us with this great organizational effort, we are using the Brother P-Touch PT-D200 labeler.
Let’s Take a Quick Look at Our Video Review of the Brother P-Touch PT-D200 -

Fun, The Secret Weapon of the Brother P-Touch Label Printer
Let me be totally honest, I was a little skeptical that a label printer was going to be able to get us motivated to get organized. After all, we could just write labels by hand or print them on a computer, but we never had. Why would we suddenly start using labels just because we had a label printer? The answer, two words – fun and easy.
The P-Touch D200 is fun to use. Parents are you seated? I have actually had my kids ask me on numerous occasions – “Can we print labels for something?” They love printing out labels and organizing stuff. Without the P-Touch, asking the kids to write up some labels would have resulted in the “if looks could kill” stare. The P-Touch, with its cool frames and styles makes labeling fun and when something is fun the kids (and adults) want to do it. I can not stress how important the fun factor is – I say it is more important than any of the specs.
The other key element in the Brother P-Touch is ease of use. As it is battery operated, you take the label printer right to the mess and start printing label in seconds. Brother makes a number of different labels – different styles and widths – which can be installed in seconds by just snapping the label cartridge into the P-Touch labeler.
Wish Us Luck In The Quest to Get Organized
The Brother P-Touch PT-D200 is a great little label printer that makes it easy and fun to print labels. The kids are on board, the wife is on board and even I am on the “Let’s Get Organized Boat“. We are going to spend the next 4 weeks trying to reduce the cluttler, chaos and confusion in our house. We don’t think it will be easy, but armed with the Brother P-Touch Labeler, we hope we can conquer the clutter. We will report back in 4 weeks and let you know how things are going.
