A Recap of Our Recaps of Gadgets From CES2014. Yes, We Are Losing It

More CES 2014

More CES 2014

Since returning from the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES2014) in Las Vegas, we have been dreaming of robots, giant TVs and tracking devices.  On bad nights we have nightmares of robotic, giant TVs that are throwing tracking devices at us like throwing stars.

As treatment for our PTTD (Post Traumatic Tech Disorder) we have been trying to get all our views on tech gadgets out…you know, in a sort of let it all out and you will feel better type of way.  We have written posts, made videos and even did a radio interview.  So, with all the various things we have done about CES2014, we figured it might be good to do a recap or our recaps.  Or maybe we are just looking for an excuse to post a link to Tom, the Dancing Party Animal (it will make sense once you read this whole recap).  Okay, let’s get to it…

The Top 33 Gadgets For Parents From CES 2014

We walked all 2 million square feet of CES2014 and came up with The 33 Best Gadgets for Parents From CES 2014.  Why 33?  Because 32 was too few and 34 was one too many.  Oh, want to know a secret?  These gadgets are cool, even if you are not a parent!

The Top 9 Toys for Kids From CES 2014

While CES is more about toys for adults than toys for the kids, we were still able to find some fun toys for kids.  Take a look at our post on the 9 Top Toys for Kids from CES 2014.  Oh, want to know a secret?  Parents will love playing with these toys as much as the kids!

What Was the Super Awesome Technical Marvel of CES 2014?

There was some incredible technology on display at CES 2014.  There were TVs you control with your voice, or hand gestures or just by looking at it.  Still, you need more than just technology to make a great product, you need functionality.  We did a post on the Best Technical Marvel from CES 2014.  We won’t spoil it here, read the post – you will be surprised!

The PC is Dead!  Long Live The PC!

I think the Consumer Electronics industry has some sick fascination with death.  Every year they are busy pronoucing some technology or line of products as dead.  However, like any good Zombie movie, dead often means very much alive.  In this post we try to figure out, if PCs are dead, what were all these cool PC like devices doing at CES?

The Lenovo MIIX 2, How Did They Do That?

If you like magic tricks you really should read our post about the Lenovo MIIX 2.  Sure the MIIX 2 is a fully speced out laptop that can convert to a tablet…but it is that magic hinge that will draw you in.  When is a hinge not a hinge?  I’ll give you a one word hint – magnets!  Check out the post and video, it will all make sense.

Enough Words, Show Me Moving Images

You’re tired of reading all these words, which is perfect, since I am tired of writing them!  Words are fine, but videos – that is where the action is at.  Here are some of the quick videos we shot at CES 2014 –

Now I’m Tired of Reading And Watching…Talk To Me!

After spending the week at CES being freaked out by all this technology and what it means for our kids, I realized the only thing left to do was to discuss this all with Monte Belmonte of 93.9 The River in Northampton, MA.  If you want to be freaked out about what all this technology means to our privacy and future generations, have a listen –

More Toys and Tech On The Way

CES is done, but we plan on offering in-depth, hands on reviews of many of the products we tried at CES.  In addition, Toy Fair is coming up in February, so we will have much more coverage on the cool new toys coming for 2014!
